Wellington Water responding to burst drinking water pipe in Brooklyn
Wellington Water crews are responding to a burst drinking water pipe at Washington Avenue, Brooklyn this morning.
Parts of Brooklyn, Mornington and Vogeltown are impacted. Crews are working at pace to restore full network service; this will happen in stages.
To enable the repair work, crews will have to undertake pressure management, as a result, water will be discharging from fire hydrants in the immediate area as the network is being recharged.
Water tankers are on site at 45 Connaught Terrace and at the children’s playground in Krull Street, so residents can fill bottles and containers for household use.
Traffic management is being set up to ensure the community and our crews’ health and safety.
