EXTENDED WATER OUTAGE - BROOKLYN
EXTENDED WATER OUTAGE - BROOKLYN
While repairs were underway, crews discovered an additional crack in the pipeline. This needs to be fixed safely before water can be restored, which has extended the outage.

We acknowledge the disruption this has caused and are working at pace to resolve this. Water tankers are on site for essential needs at 45 Connaught Street. We'll have staff door knocking and arranging for bottled water to be delivered to homes if necessary.

Portaloos have been arranged and will be onsite at approximately 7 pm. Addresses to be notified.

Thank you for your patience — we know this is a difficult time of day to be without water, and we really appreciate your understanding

Our team is working as quickly as possible, and we’ll update you again as soon as water restoration is close. Further updates will be provided as we progress with the repair.

Draft standards and specifications released for feedback

Wellington Water’s Regional Standard for Water Services and the Regional Specification for Water Services have been revised and are available for your feedback. All feedback must be received by 5:00 pm, 28 June 2021.

These two documents describe the minimum standards and specifications for the design and construction of the public stormwater, wastewater and water supply systems in the Wellington Region. They provide a consistent method of design and construction for water services so that publicly owned assets are of good quality and fit for purpose.

We are also releasing, at the same time, drafts of Wellington Water’s Regional As-built Specification and the Regional Draughting Manual. These two documents contain specifications for the collection and delivery of data and information for new installations, upgrades, or replacements that will help facilitate Wellington Water’s asset management.

All four of these draft documents can be downloaded here.

Please check out the Frequently Asked Questions and a Summary Table of Information that describes each proposed revision. There is also an online form for providing feedback.
